"The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare." What is Cross Country University? Cross Country University Running Camp is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the sport of distance running. For 6 days and 5 nights, the main focus of this co-ed camp is to aid every runner to improve their knowledge and enjoyment of the sport. The camp is open to all runners who are entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2026. XCU Camp Includes: - How to train intelligently Purpose: A major focus at XCU is combining learning, hard work and having fun! Evening activities include a talent show, camp fires with s'mores and a dance. Activities include swimming, basketball, gaga, pickle ball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and Camp Olympics. Counselors:
Our Camp Directors have coached and taught at
all leves of competition and who have decades of coaching experience and
understand the needs of young runners. Our outstanding counselors
are current or former collegiate runners from a wide range of programs.
Our counselors are also teachers and coaches. If you are interested
in being a camp counselor, please contact Jordan Brannan at
jbrannan16@gmail.com, the sooner the
better. Location: Our camp is held in Elizaville, New York at Camp Eagle Hill. It has newly refurnished cabins and a fully staffed dining hall with a selection of nutritious foods, including a salad bar, that will fill the needs of the young endurance athlete. Though our camp won't include everything listed in the Camp Eagle Hill website, it does include a lake, pool, volleyball courts, tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts and much more. Roommate Requests: On the application, please let us know who you would like to room with. The cabins hold 8 - 16 campers. We will try our best to put you with either your friends or teammates. In the event a team is large, we will split them in two and put them in adjoining cabins. If your friend is from another school, please note which school. Additional Information: Teams and individuals who have previously attended the camp have had a great deal of success in NJ and PA following their XCU Camp experience. They have won a number of NJ State Meet of Champion and PA State Championships, both as team and individuals and three teams qualified for the Nike Team Nationals. But...don't be overwhelmed by those achievements. Many of our runners are beginning runners and all runners are placed in groups according to their ability and pace.
